Introducing ISMPP Insider, the evolution of the MAP Newsletter. Like The MAP, Insider brings together expert perspectives, practical insights, trusted guidance, and program news to support the ISMPP community.
ISMPP Insider reflects the continued growth of the medical publications and communications profession and ISMPP’s enduring commitment to supporting it. Building on the strong foundation of The MAP Newsletter, Insider has been reimagined to enhance how readers access, explore, and engage with content.
The new blog introduces a hybrid experience that combines the familiarity of timely updates with a more structured, topic-based approach. Readers can continue to stay current with the latest articles while also exploring content by key areas of focus and practice, making it easier to find relevant insights over time.
ISMPP Insider is organized into four primary sections:
- In Practice offers expert analysis and guidance on a variety of topics of interest to the ISMPP community, spanning ethics and integrity, best practices and metrics, and professional development and AI in medical communications. It replaces the News & Trends section of The MAP
- Content Lab is our new section designed to share practical, experience-based insights from across the community
- From ISMPP highlights updates, events, and perspectives from ISMPP leadership and initiatives. Under The MAP, this section was known as Highlights
- What Would You Do? presents case-based scenarios that invite reflection and community input. This interactive section that features voting alternating with poll results has been a staple of The MAP since 2019
Together, these sections are supported by a Knowledge Hub that brings content together across core topic areas, helping readers discover relevant perspectives regardless of when they were published.
As with The MAP, ISMPP Insider remains a trusted, public-facing resource for the global medical communications community. At the same time, it introduces a more flexible and discoverable experience designed to support both immediate learning and long-term professional development.
Launched in April 2026, ISMPP Insider is a work-in-progress, and not all of its features and enhancements are available at this time. We will continue to implement improvements that aim to enrich your experience navigating through ISMPP’s blog content.
We look forward to continuing the conversation with you through ISMPP Insider.
