AI Policies in Medical Publications: Your Input Needed

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance, its integration into the field of medical research and publication is increasing. The ISMPP Publication Ethics & Standards Committee, in collaboration with the ISMPP AI Task Force, is interested in understanding and helping to shape the ethical framework of AI in the publications field.

The purpose of this survey is to gather insights on how companies are adapting to AI in medical research dissemination, and to identify areas where further guidance, training, or clarification is needed. We also invite ISMPP members to volunteer for an optional focus group interview to further contribute to industry-specific guidance for the use of AI in medical publications.

The survey is expected to take about 4-5 minutes to complete, but your input will make a lasting difference in ensuring we continue to provide value, leadership, and practical guidance in this new era of AI.

An invitation to take the Company AI Policies survey was sent via Survey Monkey on February 25, 2026 to your email address registered with ISMPP. Don’t delay…the survey will close on Friday, March 20^th.

We look forward to sharing the aggregated, anonymized survey results* at an upcoming ISMPP meeting. The insights from the survey will also be leveraged to develop a guidance resource related to AI policies in medical communications.
